On 19/6, ThinkOnception successfully co-organized a roundtable discussion* to analyze the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Agricultural sector.
A summary:
AI can indeed transform the agricultural practices, offering opportunities to improve efficiency, product, and environmental sustainability. On the other hand, it is important to highlight that the implementation of those practices can cause data privacy concerns and high costs. At the same time, those practices emphasize the need for tailored training programs, as a significant skill gap among agricultural workers and entrepreneurs has been revealed. The conclusions above were drawn through a survey that provided a valuable data-driven foundation for our discussion, highlighting key findings. Finally, further demands were expressed for more local initiatives and governmental support, while also emphasizing the need for further funding. The discussion ended with some key takeaways, regarding education, accessibility, policy making and inspiration.
